Katelyn McGee, O.D.

Katelyn McGee, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. McGee is a licensed Optometric Physician in the state of Tennessee and a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. A native of Pickwick, she received her bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

She joined the team in June 2020 and is excited about private practice in a smaller community like her hometown.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians (TAOP), and the SouthEast Tennessee Optometric Physician Society.

In optometry school she helped form a new public health club (SPHViCA) as well as was actively involved in Optometric Private Practice and College of Optometrists in Vision Development organizations. She was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Her interests include pediatrics and ocular disease. She has received extensive training in ocular disease, contact lenses, and vision correction.

Chris Muegge, O.D.

Chris Muegge, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Muegge is a licensed Optometric Physician in the state of Tennessee and a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. A native of Chattanooga, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

He joined the team in June 2022 and is excited to be in private practice with his wife, Dr. McGee.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians (TAOP), and the SouthEast Tennessee Optometric Physician Society (SETOPS).

In optometry school he was a pivotal member of the Student TAOP association and helped ensure that optometry students in Tennessee were given the same education advantages as those in other states. He was an active member of the public health club (SPHViCA) as well as the Optometric Private Practice and was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

His interests include contact lenses and ocular disease. He has received extensive training in disease and surgical co-management in a renowned specialist center.

He is a car enthusiast and enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his wife and two dogs.

Annie Reed, O.D.

Annie Reed, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Reed is a licensed Optometric Physician in the state of Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas. A native of Knoxville, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

She joined the team in December 2024 and is excited to be at private practice in a smaller community closer to home.

She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA).

In optometry school she participated in AOA Capitol Hill and met with Tennessee congressmen to advocate for changes to better serve optometrists and our patients. She also participated in NIH funded research to study diabetic screenings in optometric clinics.

Her interests include pediatrics, myopia management, and neurorehabilitation. She has received extensive training in ocular disease, contact lens, and surgical co-management. 

She enjoys hiking and is excited to be back in Tennessee with her husband and yellow lab.
